Breast MRI services are now available at the Baptist Imaging Center to evaluate an abnormality of the breast, said Betty Brown, coordinator.
“This technology allows radiologists enhanced views within the breast with expanded imaging capabilities,” said Brown. “Patients benefit by receiving advanced diagnostic care in an outpatient setting.”
Brown said breast MRI services are not for screenings. Mammography still is housed in the hospital’s Women’s Center, located in the Atrium of Doctors Office Building 2.
Every aspect of the Baptist Imaging Center is designed to make diagnostic testing quicker and easier, providing a new level of outpatient service and convenience.
Services include a high-field open MRI, CT scanner, ultrasound and X-ray. The center is completely digital, meaning radiologists can access images within seconds from a computer, read them and make notations on the record for the patient’s physician. With the click of a mouse, the image is on its way to the patient’s physician.
Laboratory services are available in conjunction with on-site services. To learn more, visit us at westernbaptist.com or phone Baptist Health Line at (270) 575-2918.
