It's Safe to Sweat During Pregnancy

Sweating during PregnancyFor women with uncomplicated pregnancies, exercise is not only safe—it’s a good idea, research shows. That’s true even for women who weren’t active before becoming pregnant. Physical activity can ease aches and pains, boost self-image, and curb depression during pregnancy. It also poses few risks to the baby. For safe exercise for two:

  • Get your doctor’s OK before you exercise.
  • Try walking or water exercises.
  • Drink plenty of fluids before, during, and after a workout.
