In late November, Western Baptist Hospital hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for its new Baptist Heart Center. Construction is now under way on the 79,000-square-foot facility with the completion date set for spring 2007. All invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures, as well as the hospital’s Cardiac Rehabilitation department, will be housed in the new center. The second level of the center will feature an auditorium for physician seminars and special events. A new helicopter pad will be located on the rooftop.
