ouchCheerleading injuries are becoming more and more prevalent. The most common injuries are sprains, strains, and bruises. To help keep your child or teen safe, make sure that practice is supervised and that properly trained “spotters” are used during difficult stunts. Plus, coaches should be trained and certified in safety issues. —Pediatrics
