The new Baptist Imaging Center is set to open this fall, meeting patients and physicians’ diagnostic needs in a convenient and accessible fashion. The center will provide a new level of service and convenience in outpatient diagnostic imaging.
Bob Seely, Director of Diagnostic Imaging at Western Baptist Hospital, says the new imaging center will provide a convenient and accessible location for patients to receive outpatient radiological services.
“For patients who need only diagnostic services, the new center is even more invaluable,” says Seely. “They can get in, get out, and get on with their day through a quicker and easier process.”
According to Seely, the demand for outpatient diagnostic imaging services is growing. Western Baptist responded to that demand by constructing the new 9,000-square-foot facility. When it opens, it will be the largest outpatient center of its kind in the area.
The new Baptist Imaging Center
will house a CT scanner, MRI, a radiographic/fluoroscopic room, two radiographic/tomographic rooms, and two ultrasound rooms.
Dr. Danny Hatfield, radiologist at Western Baptist Hospital, reviews images on a computer screen. The new Baptist Imaging Center will feature an entirely digital format, providing patients and physicians advanced technology and convenience. |
Additional space within the facility will be reserved for future expansion.Seely says that a significant benefit of the new center is its digital format. “It is entirely digital,” says Seely. “Within seconds, radiologists can access images from a computer, read them, and make notations on the record for the patient’s physician. With the click of a mouse, the image is on its way to the patient’s physician. Electronic imaging means less waiting time and lower health costs.”Dedicated parking and a covered canopy are also features of the new Baptist Imaging Center. A radiologist will be on-site to interpret exams.
