Expecting parents need a hand to hold on their special journey through childbirth. And now, thanks to the arrival of the Maternally Yours program at Western Baptist Hospital, that hand is connected to a dedicated team of health care professionals whose goals are to provide new parents with care and support.

Maternally Yours offers many benefits to expecting families. Those joining the free program will receive a copy of What to Expect When You’re Expecting, a comprehensive pregnancy book that covers the basics of pregnancy in an easy to understand month-to-month format. They will also receive a coupon book filled with discounts from many of the area’s merchants, information on the Fit Pregnancy program at Baptist Family Fitness, and information on Western Baptist’s online Pregnancy Center, Stork’s Nest, Stork Line, and other helpful resources.

In conjunction with the Maternally Yours program, Western Baptist hosts a monthly dinner program to congratulate expecting parents on their good news. The dinners occur every other month on the second Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m., in the Atrium of Doctors Office Building 2. Each expecting woman may bring a special guest to accompany her to the dinner, at which representatives of various aspects of Western Baptist Hospital’s service lines will speak on relevant pregnancy issues. At the close of the dinner, guests may take a guided tour of the Birthing Center and postpartum suites. Baby’s first gift will also be presented to each expecting woman attending.
