Childbirth Fair Keeps Growing
Just as babies don’t stay small for long, neither does Western Baptist Hospital’s Childbirth Fair. Each year, the event grows bigger and better for all who participate and the 2005 edition was no exception. Marketing staff members estimate this year’s attendance to be the greatest ever, exceeding 1200 new and expecting moms, dads, grandparents and siblings.
Participants to the fair learned more about Western Baptist’s birthing services, met staff from the Women's and Children's Services department and toured the Birthing Center and postpartum facilities. Additionally, more than 50 vendors from the community were on hand with giveaways, samples and products.
Paducah resident Melissa Gjergji attended the fair, pregnant with her first child. “My husband and I really enjoyed Western Baptist’s Childbirth Fair,” said Gjergji. “The staff at Western Baptist was so friendly and helpful, and the vendors provided a wealth of information for expectant parents like us. We’re thankful for such a valuable resource and fun day out!”
The staff of Marketing would like to thank the many employees who volunteered their time and talents to make this year’s Childbirth Fair a success.
