At Western Baptist Hospital, we know that when it comes to you, or someone you love, a diagnosis of cancer is very difficult. That's why we provide a full range of oncology services to respond to the varying needs of patients with different forms of cancer. Our goal is to get you well and keep you well.
Western Baptist offers aggressive, leading edge cancer treatment. But the healing force doesn't stop there -- we're with you every step of the way. Our cancer care services also include prevention programs and advanced technology for early detection, as well as rehabilitation services.
Services
Oncology services available at the hospital include:
- Breast Diagnostic Center to aid in the early diagnosis of breast cancer;
- Diagnostic Imaging Services to help physicians diagnose cancer and determine whether it has spread;
- Endoscopic procedures to allow physicians to look inside the body and take tissue samples without major surgery. Endoscopy can be used to examine the lungs, colon, bladder, biliary system, pancreas, esophagus, stomach, duodenum, larynx and female reproductive organs.
- Inpatient and outpatient radiation therapy, provided in our ACR-accredited Center for Cancer Care;
- Radium seed implants, an alternative to surgical removal of the prostate for men with early stage prostate cancer;
