Western Baptist Hospital offers Prepared Childbirth Classes to help expectant parents learn about the labor & delivery process.

These classes are designed for expectant parents in their second or third trimester and meet for two sessions one week apart. Meeting times are 5pm-8pm, in Meeting Room A, located in Western Baptist Hospital's Doctors Office Building 2. Topics include:

• anatomy and physiology of late pregnancy
• relaxation and breathing techniques
• signs and symptoms of labor
• stages of labor and delivery
• complications
• Cesarean births
• postpartum
• infant procedures
• baby care

There is no charge for the classes.

Prepared Childbirth:
Meeting Room A, Doctors Office Building 2 Classes meet for 2 sessions from 5:00 – 8:00 PM
Jan 23rd & 30th  Feb 12th & 19th Feb 20th & 27th Mar 6th & 13th Mar 19th & 26th Apr 21st & 23rd May 8th & 15th May 21st & 28th June 18th & 25th	July 10th & 17th July 23rd & 30th Aug 12th & 19th Sept 10th & 17th Oct 22nd & 29th Nov 13th & 20th Dec 11th & 18th Dec 15th & 22nd

Baby Care Basics information will be included, as will information for those anticipating a cesarean section delivery.  Women who want only the Baby Care Basics or Cesarean Section information will attend the second session only.You may register for those classes separately.

There will also be a Saturday class offered most every month. Participants will meet for one six hour class.
