Smart beginnings Childbirth Class is a course specifically for pregnant teens or the non-traditional family unit. You are encouraged to bring your partner, mother, or a friend; but you are welcome to come alone. This class is designed to help expectant parents learn about the labor and delivery process. Topics include the anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, the stages of labor and delivery, the symptoms of labor, preparing for the parenting role and bonding, care of the newborn, coping with a new baby, and the stressors of a non-traditional pregnancy and child-rearing.
