Working With The Media

Contact the Baptist Health Paducah Marketing department at (270) 575-2797 when you need a resource for a health-related story. We will get in touch with the appropriate person or persons and arrange for an interview, photo opportunity or other request. Other Baptist Health Paducah staff will refer any media calls they receive to us, so calling us directly will save you time.

After 5 p.m. on weekdays, on the weekends or holidays, phone the Baptist Health Paducah switchboard at (270) 575-2100, and request the house supervisor. Additionally, if you need to cancel or change the scheduled time for an interview, notify the Marketing department as soon as possible by phoning (270) 575-2797. We will then inform the appropriate people, and, if necessary, make new arrangements for your visit.

News releases about classes and events at Baptist Health Paducah are sent out regularly to area media outlets. Please phone us at (270) 575-2797 if you, or a specific reporter, would like to receive our news releases directly. You may also request to have news releases sent to you by e-mail by contacting Tiffany Blazina, Communications Coordinator, at (270) 575-2797.

On-campus escort

All media representatives must be escorted on the Baptist Health Paducah campus by a Marketing representative. This policy helps to ensure that the privacy of our staff and patients is respected. It also helps reporters and photographers get to where they are going much more quickly -- without getting lost.

The hospital's Security department is advised of each anticipated media visit. If the Security department is not informed of your visit, delays could be experienced. Media representatives without a Marketing escort will be asked to wait until a proper escort can arrive.

In most instances, media representatives will be asked to come to the lobby of the hospital's main entrance or to the Atrium of Doctors Office Building 2 to meet a Marketing escort.
