Western Baptist welcomes two new radiologists

Western Baptist Hospital welcomes radiologists Eric Hatfield, M.D., and Amy Oberhelman, M.D., to the medical staff of 240 physicians, representing 40 specialties.

Dr. Hatfield and Dr. Oberhelman are graduates of Washington University School of Medicine in St.   Louis. He completed a residency in radiology and a fellowship in body magnetic resonance imaging, and she completed a residency in radiology and a fellowship in neuroradiology -- all at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

They join a team of radiologists at Western Baptist, who provide comprehensive high-quality services including direct digital diagnostic radiology, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, vascular studies, CT and PET scans, MRI, bone densitometry and breast diagnostic studies, including mammography, breast ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy.

Western Baptist is one of the few U.S. hospitals to use only digital radiography, which provides faster results for patients. Western Baptist's diagnostic imaging is nationally-accredited and features western Kentucky's first Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.
