Western Baptist to offer free head and neck cancer screening

Western Baptist Hospital will offer a free head and neck cancer screening on Friday, April 27. Appointments are required; phone (270) 575-2895 for reservations.

Participants will receive a free screening by physicians from Ear, Nose and Throat of W. Kentucky and Purchase E.N.T.

Risk factors of head and neck cancer include smoking, chewing tobacco, drinking or having prior cancer of the head or neck. Symptoms include a mouth sore that doesn’t go away, sore throat and trouble swallowing, change in voice and growth or swelling in the neck.

The screening is open to anyone with those risk factors not currently under the care of an ear, nose and throat specialist.
