Western Baptist offers free health screenings



Western Baptist Hospital will present free health screenings as its annual gift to the community during Holiday Health Extravaganza on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 9 a.m. until noon in the atrium of Doctors Office Building 2.

Free screenings include blood pressure, cholesterol, blood sugar and EKG Rhythm Strips. Neurologist Jacqueline Carter, M.D., will provide stroke prevention tips. Area vendors also will be featured, along with refreshments, giveaways and door prizes.

Fasting for screenings is not necessary, and no advance registration is required. Park in the parking garage for easy access to the event. For more information, phone Baptist Health line at (270) 575-2918.
