Relaxing from Within

Smart Beginnings Childbirth Class

4 to 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 7 and 14, Atrium Classroom, Doctors Office Building 2, Western Baptist Hospital.

Free class designed for pregnant teens or the non-traditional family unit to help them learn about the labor and delivery process.

Free screening by physicians from Purchase E.N.T. and Ear, Nose and Throat of W. Kentucky. Appointments required.

Breastfeeding Classes

9 to 11 a.m., Saturday, June 11, or 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., Monday, June 27, Atrium Classroom, Doctors Office Building 2, Western Baptist Hospital

Free class helps prepare expectant mothers for the breastfeeding experience.

Diabetes classes

1 to 4 p.m., Monday, June 13, and Wednesday, June 15, Atrium Classroom, Doctors Office Building 2, Western Baptist Hospital.

Free class with a certified diabetes instructor to assist with any question or concerns about diabetes. A physician’s order is required.

Safe Sitter Classes

9 a.m to 4 p.m., Friday, June 17 and June 24, Atrium Classroom, Doctors Office Building 2, Western Baptist Hospital.

Safe Sitter classes are for boys and girls ages 11-13 years. The class, presented by a Certified Safe Sitter instructor, focuses on how to handle emergencies with young children. The class includes a graduation ceremony with certificate. The cost is $25, which includes lunch and supplies. Pre-registration is required
