Western Baptist announces mobile Web site

Western Baptist Hospital has launched a new mobile Web site to accommodate the increasing number of people who use their smart phones to find directions, contact information, locations and more.

The new site is downsized from the full Web site at http://www.westernbaptist.com, but contains information mobile users need. To access the site, just type the Web site URL into the mobile device browser. All phone numbers on the site can be touched or clicked to call, including the Baptist Health Line, a hotline answered by registered nurses 24/7.

Features on the mobile site include:

  • Where does it hurt? A “symptom navigator” helps you find out more about the pain you are experiencing.
  • Find Us. Click on the Find Us channel to get the hospital address, driving directions, a map, the phone number and visiting hours. Also, you can click through to the hospital’s floor plans on the full Web site.
  • Contact Us. Access a full phone list of hospital departments, and touch or scroll to a number to call. Or use a simple contact form to send a message, including a quick link to online bill payment.
  • Forgot an appointment? Use the Find a Physician feature on your phone to search for a physician in a particular field or by name.
  • Talk to a Nurse. Don’t know whether to go to the emergency room or the doctor’s office? Call the 24-hour Baptist Health Line to talk to a registered nurse at (270) 575-2918.

Western Baptist marketing director Dona Rains said the mobile site is essential today. “Finding a phone number to the correct hospital department or getting health information should be as easy as pulling out a phone and surfing a relevant site,” she said.

To visit, just type http://westernbaptist.com into your mobile device Internet browser.
