Hospitalists join Western Baptist Hospital staff
Hospitalists John Christopher Hancock, D.O., and Harold Hibbs, M.D., have recently joined the medical staff at Western Baptist Hospital. They join a medical staff of approximately 240 physicians, representing 40 medical specialties.
Dr. Hancock is a graduate of Murray State University and the Pikeville College School of Osteopathic Medicine, where he graduated first in his class. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
Dr. Hibbs is a graduate of the University of Louisville and the Saba University School of Medicine. He completed an internal medicine residency at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport and a preliminary medicine residency at the University of Toledo Medical Center.
Western Baptist’s hospitalist program began in early 2009. A team of hospitalists cares for hospitalized patients whose physicians are not on the hospital staff. The hospitalist returns their care to their primary care physician after they leave the hospital.
