Foundation selling poinsettias in memory or honor of loved ones

The Western Baptist Hospital Foundation is offering the opportunity to sponsor a poinsettia or “Christmas Star” in honor or memory of a loved one. The poinsettias will adorn the hospital atrium of Doctors Office Building 2 throughout the holidays. An acknowledgement card will be displayed in the poinsettia, and one will be sent to announce the gift.  

The suggested donation is $20 for a 6-inch poinsettia or $40 for a 12-inch. Proceeds benefit the foundation, which purchases leading-edge medical technology, enhances hospital facilities and expands patient services.

Poinsettias can be purchased by phoning Gina Leeper at (270) 575-2871 or visiting the foundation’s booth at the Holiday Health Extravaganza from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 5 in the atrium. Poinsettias can be picked up from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 4, in the atrium, or they will be placed in patient rooms.
