Commissioning Service blesses Tanzania mission teams

Two mission groups traveling to Tanzania in eastern Africa recently gathered at the Baptist Heart Center auditorium for a commissioning service hosted by the Pastoral Care department. Both groups include Western Baptist employees, and the hospital donated medical supplies and vaccinations for all team members.

The Heartland Worship Center team (left) will be traveling May 17-28. Team members include: (front) the Rev. Chris Clark, David Banister and Randy Davis, the hospital’s coordinator for architectural services; (back) Bonnie Schrock, vice president of patient services, Karen Banister, M.D., Cindy Vose, Stacey Davis, Carol Draffen, R.N, Outpatient Center, Cathy Travis and Brad Evitts.

The Friendship Baptist Church team (right) will travel May 27-June 10. Team members include the Rev. Jason Browning, Craig Brown, Robert Brown, radiology supervisor, Hannah Brown, and Betty Brown, Baptist Imaging Center supervisor.
