Childbirth Fair set for Aug. 15

            Parents with a new baby in their life or one on the way will receive useful information and giveaways at Western Baptist Hospital’s annual Childbirth Fair. The annual event will be from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 15, in the atrium of Doctors Office Building 2. 

            The hospital’s team of experts will provide information about pregnancy classes and programs, as well as give a tour of the Birthing Center and spacious postpartum suites. Obstetricians and pediatricians will also be available to answer questions. No advance registration is needed.

            Expectant parents will be able to register free for the hospital’s maternity program, StorkCentral, which includes:

•         A free copy of the Mayo Clinic Guide to a Healthy Pregnancy.

•         An invitation to StorkSmart, an educational program with Maternal-Child Services staff.

•         A StorkCentral coupon book filled with discounts from participating merchants.

•         An invitation to the hospital’s maternal-child and women’s health education classes.

•         Access to StorkCentral’s Baby Steps, an online pregnancy information center; the Stork’s Nest, the hospital’s online photo nursery; and StorkLine, a 24-hour hotline where you can speak to a registered nurse to get answers to all of your health-related questions.
