CCU director earns American Heart Association honor

Karen Talbott, R.N., director of Western Baptist Hospital’s Cardiac Care Unit, was recently named the 2009 HeartSaver Community Service Instructor by the Kentucky American Heart Association.

The honor acknowledges Talbott as an outstanding AHA Emergency Cardiovascular Care instructor for her commitment and dedication in supporting the American Heart Association mission through teaching others invaluable lifesaving skills. She has organized community training and encouraged CCU staff to become instructors and teach courses at their churches and other organizations.
