Baptist Health Paducah supports Colon Cancer Awareness Month

McCracken County Judge-Executive Van Newberry presents Jamie Smith of the Kentucky Cancer Program with a proclamation naming March as Colon Cancer Awareness Month. Bob Seely, Baptist Health Paducah director of diagnostic imaging, spoke about the importance of screenings for early detection of colon cancer at the ceremony.

Several Baptist Health Paducah employees attended the ceremony and wore blue to celebrate National Dress in Blue Day. Blue is the color of colon cancer awareness. Baptist Health Paducah employees in attendance were: Angie Kinsey, Lora Croley, Dona Rains and Kathryn Joyner from the Marketing department; Oncology director Mary White, R.N.; McCracken County Judge-Executive Van Newberry; Radiology director Bob Seely; Radiation therapy supervisor Tonya Rittenberry, R.N.; Diagnostic Imaging coordinator Mike Tutor; and Cancer registry coordinator Donna Schmidt.
