Subacute Respiratory Care Services

Baptist Health Paducah offers superior respiratory care services and personnel to subacute facilities throughout the Paducah area. Our entire staff is either certified or registered and all are licensed by the Kentucky Board for Respiratory Care.

Basic respiratory services include, but are not limited to:

• Oxygen therapy
• Aerosolized medication nebulization
• Incentive spirometry
• Cough and deep breathing instruction
• Breathing retraining

Our goal is to maintain approximately 75 percent of time in patient specific activities.

Baptist Health Paducah's respiratory care staff will provide quarterly in-service education for your nursing staff to enhance the effectiveness of care rendered to residents in the facility. The hospital staff will also participate in resident care planning meetings, staff meetings and rehabilitation conferences about therapy services.

Baptist Health Paducah will also maintain written documentation of each patient's treatment, progress and evaluations, in accordance with the requirements of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
