Symptoms of a Heart Attack
To step up the fight against heart disease, Baptist Health Paducah's Chest Pain Center is fully dedicated to the immediate and comprehensive treatment of heart attack symptoms. More than 185 patients are treated there each month.
Open 24 hours a day, the Chest Pain Center is located within the hospital's Trauma Center and is staffed by a team of physicians and nurses specially trained to treat cardiac emergencies. Our cardiac diagnostic center is conveniently located adjacent to the center, which shaves valuable time off the diagnosis and treatment of heart attack.
Remember, the sooner you get the help you need, the better for your heart.
Heart attack symptoms include:
- pressure or crushing pain in the center of the chest that may radiate down the left arm or into the jaw area
- sweating
- nausea
- shortness of breath
Any chest pain that lasts more than ten minutes could be a sign of a heart attack and you should go to the nearest emergency department.
