 Mammography, two MRIs, PET, CT, nuclear medicine -- all in one location

The Baptist Imaging Center provides the best images available to complete your tests as quickly as possible. Digital mammography, PET,  CT and MRI are among the outpatient services available under one roof.  Nationally-accredited radiology services and two on-site radiologists give you fast feedback and same-day results. The way we see it, treating you well means convenient, accurate and timely test results.

MRI 

Two Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems, including an open MRI, give physicians high quality images and patients the choice of using an open technology. 

Breast Diagnostic Services

Breast diagnostic services  include digital mammography and ultrasound.  Our breast imaging services, including stereotactic breast biopsy inside the main hospital, have been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, ranking in the nation's top 3 percent.

Bone Densitometry

Bone densitometry is available to measure bone density in the spine and hip -- the most common fracture sites for women with osteoporosis. 

Nuclear Medicine

Nuclear medicine is a safe and painless technique to show the structure and function of internal organs. The exams involve injection with small amounts of radioactive materials, followed by scans under a gamma camera. The imaging center performs nuclear medicine studies of the bones, liver, spleen, brain and gallbladder.

CT scans

A CT scan  is a diagnostic test that combines the use of X-rays with computer technology.  Baptist Health Paducah offers the latest technology for these services through the use of 16 and 64 slice "spiral" scanners. This provides better quality images with shorter scan times for our patients.

PET

Positron emission tomography (PET) scan is a unique test that helps doctors see how the organs and tissues inside your body are functioning. 

Ultrasound

Ultrasound studies use high frequency sound waves to make pictures of different parts of the body. Two rooms are available for ultrasounds of the abdomen, pelvis, thyroid, gallbladder, breast, etc.

X-ray

X-ray: Procedures include all general radiology services (X-rays and fluoroscopy), including intravenous pyelography (IVP) to examine the urinary system; upper G.I. series to examine the esophagus, stomach and small intestine; barium enema to examine the colon.

Lab

The center offers lab work only in conjunction with a procedure listed above.

Convenient parking

The center offers dedicated parking and a covered canopy at the entrance near 28th and Kentucky, on the west end of Baptist Health Paducah's campus. Patients can register in the center. If the procedure requires any prep, please schedule by phoning (270) 575-2662.
