Prepared Childbirth Classes
Baptist Health Paducah offers Prepared Childbirth Classes to help expectant parents learn about the labor & delivery process.
These classes are designed for expectant parents in their second or third trimester and meet for two sessions one week apart.
Topics include:
- anatomy and physiology of late pregnancy
- relaxation and breathing techniques
- signs and symptoms of labor
- stages of labor and delivery
- complications
- Cesarean births
- postpartum
- infant procedures
- baby care
- What is Kangaroo Care?
There is no charge for the classes.
The class meets twice a month from 5 to 8 p.m. There will also be a Saturday class offered every month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will meet for one six-hour class.
